Andrew Goodwin - Illustration, Amplicfication & Disjuncture
Illustration - Is where the story of the video matches the lyrics in the song.
Leona Lewis' - 'Bleeding Love' is an example of illustration as the song lyrics that she is singing matches the images in the background, although there not about her as the singer it is still illustration. Not all images in the video match the song lyrics though
Amplification - is where the video adds a new meaning that do not connect with the lyrics but add layers of meaning
Dizzie Rascal's -'Holiday' is an example of amplification as the video in some what conncets with the song as they are talking about going on holiday and the women are dressed in bikini's and because of there location but the other meaning is again the represtation on women and how men look at them.
Disjuncture - is where there is only a small connection between the lyrics and the video or where the video contradicts the lyrics.
Michael Jackson's - 'Man In The Mirror' is an example of disjuncture as the lyrics of the song are all about self understanding but in total contradiction the video is full of different drastic world happenings.
